CONESTOGA COLLEGE

Established in 1967 as the Conestoga College of Applied Arts and Technology, this institution was part of a wave of similar colleges founded by the Ontario government during that era. These colleges were designed to provide diplomas and certificates in career-focused, skills-oriented programs. In 2012, the college underwent a name change to reflect its expanded mandate, which included the granting of degrees in technology-based fields. This transformation marked a significant evolution in Conestoga College’s mission and educational offerings, aligning it with the changing demands of the modern workforce and industry requirements.

The Kitchener – Conestoga College Blvd. home, which will open in the autumn of 2023, is near to the Cambridge – Fountain Street and Kitchener – Doon campuses.
