The Waikato Institute of Technology, commonly known as Wintec, serves as an institute of technology situated in New Zealand’s Waikato region. With a diverse array of over 130 degrees, diplomas, and certificates on offer, Wintec specializes in practical tertiary education across various fields, encompassing nurses, social workers, midwives, graphic designers, performing artists, engineers, tradespeople, early childhood teachers, horticulturists, arborists, and sport scientists. These programs span from Level 1 to Level 9, catering to a wide range of educational needs. The City Campus is located in the center of Hamilton, near the Waikato River. The other three campuses are located in the Waikato region.

The Wintec Apartments are a convenient and affordable option for mature and international students. Each bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, wardrobe, desk, heater, and chairs.
