    • Eligibility Criteria:
      • Candidates must have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree or a full-time postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian university/institution/board.
      • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% or higher in an undergraduate degree.
      • Must possess good leadership skills and have experience in community service.
      • 3 years of work experience apart from being committed to returning to homeland India and contributing to the local community.

    • Other Details: This scholarship is meant for exceptionally bright Indian students aiming to pursue a Masters in the U.S.A.
  • National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Indian Government- Indian government awards National Overseas Scholarship to low-income students from the Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Traditional Artisans, & Landless agricultural laborers. The main aim of this scholarship is to uplift their economic and social status through higher education abroad. Depending on the availability of funds, around 125 new awards are distributed annually. The applicant should have scored at least 60% pass score in the last qualifying examination, and the combined family income of the candidates should not exceed 8 lakhs per annum.

    • Requisites – The scholarship is awarded to applicants who meet the following criteria:
      • The candidate should belong to any of these: Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Laborers, and Traditional Artisans.
      • At least 55% marks scored in under graduation (for Masters course) or 55% marks scored in Post-Graduation (for Ph.D. course).
      • Should be below 35 years of age.
      • Have a combined annual family income that is less than Rs. 6,00,000. (6 lakhs)
      • Not have more than one sibling who received the same scholarship.
    • Duration: 2 years
    • Other Details – This Government scholarship is offered to students applying to Masters and Ph. D in the following fields:
      • Engineering and Management;
      • Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences;
      • Humanities and Social Science.
      • International Commerce, Accounting and Finance;
      • Agricultural Sciences and Medicine;
  • Goa education trust scholarships- Goa EducationTrust, in participation with the British Council of India, offers one-time payment scholarships of variable amounts to Indian candidates for postgraduate courses in the UK. The applicant is short-listed on the basis of academic qualification of a degree certificate, references and extra curricular achievements. This scholarship is applicable in all UK universities. Also, preference is given to Goa residents over other applicants.

  • Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships- United States-India Educational Foundation offers Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships to scholars of an Indian institution for 6-9 months so that they can pursue a part of their research in a US institution. This Fellowships is offered so that the Indian scholars can avail of better exposure in the US by conducting research, and gaining practical work experience. Generally, the applicants are required to have work experience in their relevant fields.

      • J-1 Visa support
      • Monthly stipend support

      • Air Travel Allowance (Round-trip economy class costs)

    • Requisites – Indians applying for this scholarship to study abroad in the USA should be registered Ph.D. students at an Indian institution. Since this scholarship is only applicable for Indian Ph.D. students to conduct research essential to their dissertations or thesis; therefore, the expected Ph.D. thesis submission date should not be earlier than three months after the Fulbright Nehru grant end date. The applicant has to upload a copy of an article or paper published or presented by him or extracts from his Master’s/M.Phil.

  • Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship- As the name suggests, the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship is awarded to Ph.D scholars for promoting research that addresses climate change-related challenges in India and the US.

The expected submission date of Ph.D. thesis should not be earlier than three months after the Fulbright Nehru scholarship end date. An applicant has to upload a copy of an article or paper published or presented while submitting the online application form. He can also upload extracts from the Master’s/M. Phil’s Thesis.

  • JN Tata Endowment – Higher Education of Indians- This Scholarships for Studying Abroad By Indian Government After Graduation is for students seeking higher education in international universities across the world. Some facts about it are:
    • The scholarship amount can vary from INR 1,00,000 to INR 10,00,000, based upon the eligibility criteria met by the student.
    • Additionally, based upon the student’s academic performance in their university, Scholars can also be recommended for a gift scholarship of a value of INR 75,000.
    • However, the Scholarship amount has to be repaid in 20% equal installments. If you are a resident, then repayment can start between the third and seventh years of your residency.
  • Fully Funded Scholarships for Indian Students To Study Abroad- A fully funded scholarship covers your entire tuition fees, including the cost of travel and living abroad, accommodation and insurance.
