QS Best Student Cities Rankings are in its 12th year and the list of QS Best Student Cities 2025 rankings is released. The rankings compared 150 study destinations in indicators important to international students including affordability, student feedback, university ranking, diversity and employment opportunities
For the sixth consecutive year, London has been crowned the best student city in the world by the QS Best Student Cities ranking. Tokyo, Seoul, Munich, Melbourne, Sydney, Paris, Zurich, Berlin and Montreal rounded off the top 10 list.

QS said that London has again been crowned as the top city “thanks to the excellent feedback from students and graduates about their experience in the city, and its world-class higher education landscape, which includes two universities in the world’s top 10, the highest number in the world, alongside Boston”.
The QS Best Student Cities is based on six indicators: the ranking of a city’s universities, student mix, desirability, employer activity, affordability and student views.
In analysis of the results, QS said that London universities performed well in Employer Reputation and that 11 of its 18 ranked universities were among the world’s top 50 for proportion of international students, which is one of the indicators of student mix.
