University of Manchester Announces Scholarships for Indian Students

The University of Manchester has roll out a range of scholarships aimed at supporting exceptional Indian students for the September 2024 intake. These scholarships, awarded on the basis of academic merit, offer significant tuition fee reductions for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Academic merit shall be the basis for evaluation. Any holder of an offer who satisfies the requirements will get a scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction. Here’s a list of scholarships available for students at University of Manchester:

Bicentenary Global Futures Scholarship

The prestigious Bicentenary Global Futures Scholarship is available to students from around the world, including India. For undergraduates, the university is offering 100 merit-based scholarships worth £21,000 each. Eligible students must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2024 and hold qualifications such as A Levels, IB Diploma, or Indian Class 12 (from specified boards), among others.

For postgraduate students, the scholarship offers 100 merit-based awards of £8,000 each. Applicants will be assessed based on their academic achievements and the quality of their scholarship application.

Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships

The Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships provide financial aid for students in the School of Arts, Languages, and Culture, and the School of Environment, Education, and Development. Undergraduate recipients will receive £2,000 per year of study, while postgraduate students will be awarded £10,000 for one year of study. The scholarship process is integrated with the admission process, and shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.

Humanities International Excellence Scholarship

Targeting outstanding international students in postgraduate humanities programs, the Humanities International Excellence Scholarship requires applicants to have an offer to study at the university. Eligibility includes an overall undergraduate score of 60-70%, depending on the Indian institution.
